80 girls. A home to flourish.
An oasis of hope in the heart of Yangon.
A civil war is raging in Myanmar.
Many families lose their security – and their future.
Today, 80 girls between the ages of 5 and 16 who fled northern Shan State live in a monastery in the heart of Yangon. They have found shelter with two extraordinary Buddhist sisters who offer them more than just a roof over their heads: They give them a home, dignity, and an education.
We support these two women in creating an environment for the girls in which they can flourish.
Our vision:
That each of these girls has the chance to learn, laugh and shape her own life – whether through study, career or as a free spirit.
